A Successful Merchants Fair by Jas (Blog 3)

August 15, 2012 • News

Over the Olympic period the London Sims, as a registered London 2012 community, held a Merchants Fair every day from 1pm to 1am slt. The fair, which was located next to Club 2012 in Hyde park, was a resounding success.

People came from all over the world to buy their Olympic and British themed items. Some of the most popular items were Union Jack themed, although there were flags of all different nationalities also on sale. Merchant Danicah resident (owner of Dani`s Closet) spoke to me about her best selling item – a mesh Union jack dress. She said that her customers had included people from France, Germany, Spain and Portugal, along with a lot larger proportion than usual of Americans.

All in all the event was thought to have brought a lot more trade and traffic to the London sims, and also to have  made people realise what great quality items we have here (at very reasonable prices too). Well done to all the merchants who participated, and lets hope that business continues to boom!
