At The Hub…….

January 25, 2014 • Culture & Community, Entertainment, News

People come. People go. People stand around and chit-chat. Some are old friends and some are new to London Sims. For the most part, its laughter and gestures and enjoying time together.

And then……there are those moments when we all just go a little crazy!

We let our hair down. Throw caution to the wind and say “Superstar!!!” Because that’s what we are. The stars of our own show. With a cast of characters so colorful, so wild that only London can handle such greatness! The London Hub brings all kinds. Prim and proper ladies, frying pan toting rebels, colorful fury’s, and those avatars that don’t fall into any one category. We feed off of one another and our laughter can be heard through the Sims.  As English poet Arthur O’Shaughnessy wrote….”We are the music makers, And we are the dreamers of dreams.” This is so very true in London Sims. Some of my greatest moment in Second Life have been while standing in the London Hub.

This last week here has been no exception! On Wednesday, some of the “usual suspects” that stand here had what is now known as Gesture~Thon 2014. It was a non stop showing of what gestures everyone had…..for hours! There was dancing! There was singing! There was a Thriller Flash Mob!

Avatars of all kinds can be seen here. The London Hub gives us a chance to see the creativity of those who come to Second Life. If you stand here long enough, you see romances blossom, avatars swapping items in their inventories, and some of us get the best material for their blogs!

As this blogger has said before, London Sims is the place to be! We have the friendliest people in Second Life. Quite possibly the craziest! But I wouldn’t have it any other way. This is where we can come and have fun. Be a part of something bigger. Laugh at ourselves and laugh with others. And know that when we come to London, someone will always say hello! And you will leave wondering….what will happen next….At The Hub.
