Floyd, Fairies, Star Wars and Sexy Wrestling Girls in London! by Jas (Blog 258)
We have had lots of events this week in the London Sims.
I think at least the first three were many guy`s favourite interests!
First of all it was the TDDI Pink Floyd Tribute gig in Hyde Park last Friday.
“So, so you think you can tell Heaven from Hell, blue skies from pain.
Can you tell a green field from a cold steel rail?
A smile from a veil?
Do you think you can tell….
…Did they get you to trade your heroes for ghosts?
Hot ashes for trees?
Hot air for a cool breeze?
Cold comfort for change?
Did you exchange a walk on part in the war for a lead role in a cage…
How I wish, how I wish you were here.
We’re just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl, year after year,
Running over the same old ground.
What have we found?
The same old fears.
Wish you were here.”

Then, Saturday was Star Wars day -in real life too- who knew?
Entertainent Manaager Roach Draconia (below, left) enjoyed dressing as a Java.
“I can’t abide those Jawas! Disgusting creatures!“―C-3PO
There is no escape. Don’t make me destroy you”- Darth Vadar in Empire Strikes Back.
Sexy Wrestling Girls
The Star Wars theme was brought into the Hawx wrestling, too, at least in the warm up fight.
But, then things got serious, as the champion (above) had to defend her honour.
She may have had some help from the dark side- looking at the character behind her.
The challenger to the title (above) looked fit (in both senses of the word) – as did the ref (above)!
“It`s okay to think of us as girls when we walk onto the mat,
but what are you gonna think of us when we put you on your back ?”
Quote from Michigan Womens Wrestlers Group
After a hard fought fight, though, the champion retained her title.
Then, on Tuesday at Chubby Checkers we had a “Best in Wings” event.
Inevitably this attracted some fairy folk – who are always welcome in our sims.
Consumption (tuberculosis) was sometimes blamed on the fairies forcing young men and women
to dance at revels every night, causing them to waste away from lack of rest
Luckily, in Second Life there`s no such thing as illness – other than computer viruses.
And you never get tired in the London Sims, even if you do party all night long- YAY!
